Cavalry only. This Unit cannot take any Unit Trait that would affect charges, except for Lances. When crossing Rough Ground, this Unit’s movement speed is unaffected.
These Units may shoot arrows or sling stones 18".
Warriors binding together to create an impregnable defensive wall! Infantry Units with the Shields trait only. This Unit may use a Form Up activation to form a Shield Wall. When in a Shield Wall the Unit reduces its March distances to 1" and increases its Armour Score by 1. Units in a Shield Wall take double the normal Fear and Fatigue markers if shot at or charged from the rear zone.
These warriors are crack shots! This Unit can re-roll 1 die when Shooting during its activation.
This Unit is spread out, its soldiers preferring to fight as individuals, or skirmish with the enemy. Halve this Unit’s US. Any Unit firing at a Unit that has Loose Formation reduces to its shooting dice rolls by -1.
These soldiers have a grim job to complete. In the first Round of the battle, this Unit does not have to make any Tests of Steel.
These troops are desperate for a fight! When an enemy Unit moves within 12” this Unit must make a Test of Steel. If it fails it must make a charge move towards that enemy Unit, exerting itself and suffers a Fear and Fatigue for the exertion, even if it has activated this Round. If it makes contact and successfully charges, in the ensuing Charge Combat, it adds D3 attacks to its total. However, in the next Combat phase it halves its attacks, rounding up, and suffers an additional Fear and Fatigue when all attacks are resolved, but before Tests of Steel are taken.
Tricky blighters! This can only be used on a Unit with an Armour Score of 6+ or worse. Any Unit shooting at this Unit takes a -1 penalty to hit.
This Unit may throw Javelins 6". This attack has the trait Armour Piercing: At half range or less the enemy Unit’s Armour saves are made with a -1 penalty.
Swift and light, perfect for scouting the enemy’s positions. Only available to cavalry with an Armour Score of 6+ or worse. Upgrade this Unit’s movement characteristic to 4MP/5MP.
